INSTRUCTIONS AUX AUTEURS La Rédaction examinera avec plaisir les manuscrits inédits, en français, anglais et espagnol, qui lui seront soumis. Tout manuscrit accepté est réservé à la Revue Africaine de Bioéthique et d’Ethique Médicale. L’auteur qui envisagerait de publier son article dans une autre revue sera tenu d’en avertir la rédaction. Les contributions sont bienvenues quelle que soit la présentation adoptée. Elles devront cependant, une fois acceptées, se conformer aux règles éditoriales de la revue. Les auteurs conserveront un double de leur manuscrit. La Rédaction n’est pas toujours en mesure de retourner les manuscrits non retenus. Règles éditoriales . L’exemplaire original sera imprimé au recto seulement (y compris les notes, la bibliographie, le résumé et les mots-clés), en double interligne. Il pourra être envoyé par courrier électronique en format WORD • La bibliographie sera présentée en fin d’article, par ordre alphabétique de noms d’auteurs, et comportera l’ensemble des éléments mentionnés dans les bibliographies de la revue. MARSHALL-FRATANI, Between Bable and Pentacost, London, Hurst & Co.: 195-215. • Les références bibliographiques dans le cours du texte seront simplement données entre parenthèses de la façon suivante: (Chauveau 1978 : 44-53), (Ibid. : 156-159). • Les appels de notes et les notes devront figurer dans le texte en numérotation continue. • Les figures et les cartes seront remises prêtes à clicher. Si elles ont été faites au moyen d’un logiciel de dessin ou de graphisme, une copie du fichier correspondant doit figurer également avec mention du logiciel utilisé. • L’auteur remettra également un résumé de l’article en anglais n’excédant pas 120 mots ainsi qu’une liste de quatre à six mots-clés. 1 Comptes rendus d’ouvrages La Revue Africaine de Bioéthique et d’Ethique Médicale publie également des recensions d’ouvrages et des articles à caractère bibliographique. Ces contributions sont le plus souvent sollicitées par la Rédaction, mais elles peuvent aussi lui être proposées. En règle générale, elles ne doivent pas dépasser 2 000 mots. 2 Épreuves La copie révisée par la Rédaction sera communiquée à l’auteur. Les épreuves ne lui seront pas soumises. Chaque auteur recevra en pdf, le même numéro complet accompagné de son article. INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONTRIBUTORS The African Journal of Bioethics and medical ethics welcome the submission of manuscripts in English, French or in Spanish from scholars and postgraduate students. Submitted papers should not have been published elsewhere. Once his/her article has been accepted for publication by the African Journal of Bioethics and medical ethics, the author shall inform the African Journal of Bioethics and medical ethics should he/she consider publishing the article in another journal. Manuscripts not accepted for publication are not normally returned to authors unless their return is specifically requested. Contributors are asked to follow the requirements set out below, which, as well as facilitating the Editor's work, are intended to avoid errors, limit corrections and speed up publication. The African Journal of Bioethics and medical ethics reserve the right to return any article accepted for publication with the request that it be reworked according to these guidelines. 1 Stylesheet • Contributions should be clearly typed in double spacing, preferably on A4 paper. They can be sent by email (WORD format). • The main divisions within the text should be clearly indicated, and subheadings should be given to each part. • Authors should pay particular attention to normalising the spelling adopted for terms in vernacular languages. Such terms should be italicised and not put into quotation marks. The diacritic marks should be clearly identifiable (the transcription system used being indicated if need be). • A complete bibliography will be presented at the end of the article. Notes concerning Tables should be asterisked and attached to the Table. They are not included in the continuous numbering. • Maps and figures should be presented on a separate page, with a title and number (if they have be drawn on a computer, please register it under PICT, or inform us of the software used). Their location should be clearly marked in the margin of the article. If they are not original documents, their origin should be mentioned. • For each article, a summary in English not exceeding 15 lines (roughly 200 words) and four to six keywords will be provided by the author. 2 Book reviews The African Journal of Bioethics and medical ethics also publish book reviews. Although reviewers are usually directly solicited by the African Journal of Bioethics and medical ethics editors, submissions are also welcome. In general book reviews should not exceed 2,000 words. 3 Proofs Revised copies of articles may be read and corrected by the authors provided they can give the Editors an address through which they can be contacted without delay. A copy of the edited manuscript will be sent to the author for a final revision before setting.
